On the night of Thursday to Friday in Los Angeles, the award ceremony of The Game Awards 2019. Organizer of the show Jeff Kili (Geoff Keighley) decided to turn the event into a holiday at which we can not only watch, but, in fact, play.
An interactive event is called The Game Festival. During the festival, users will be allowed to try out early versions 13 entertainment in Steam. Online event, and everyone will be able to take part in it.

The event will last 48 hours – from 21:00 on December 12 to 21:00 on December 14 (Moskovskoye Time). After the completion of the event, demo versions will disappear from the store.
Together with the Steam festival, a sales starting to The Game Awards starts. The ceremony itself can be viewed in 4K resolution right in the service Valve. During the broadcast, the audience will receive a chance to get free games and even win Valve Index. The air will begin on December 13 at 04:30 Moscow time.
According to Kili, In 2020, the organizers will significantly expand The Game Festival based on community reviews. Next year, the event will cover all platforms and regions.
